This is a fake special forces beret - the beret it self is German Army! ... I have never seen the leather piece behind the flash in a "US Army issue" Green Beret either. I have seen SF'ers wearing non-issue berets so, that alone doesn't make it a fake. The printed DSA label in what isn't an issue type beret is what makes it questionable (to me).
This is just a standard issue beret so not sure how rare they really are other than the buying frenzy around anything special forces.
